Interesting article, Frank. Chritianity is growing rapidly globally, especially in China. And I don’t mean branches of Western mainlines. It’s not as if there are vibrant multicultural evangelical churches in France for these Chinese people to attend. There might be some multicultural evangelical churches in the US
I am reading a book published in 2009 called The Next Evangelicalism, Freeing the Church from Western Cultural Captivity. Written by Dr. Soong-Chan Rah of North Park Theological Seminary in Chicago, he contents (1) that Western white culture still dominates evangelicalismbut cannot continue on that path; and (2) the future of evangelicalism in the US depends on the ability and willingness to build and adapt to multicultural congregrations.
