flockwoodAccording to the Living Church News Service, a lawyer has prepared a 7,000-word memorandum discussing the possibility of trying to bring charges against Katharine Jefferts Schori, the Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church. The allegations would be that she is violating the constitution and canons of the 2.2 million member U.S. denomination. The document is apparently circulating among conservative bishops and others. Since they’re outnumbered, it’s unclear how they could win such a battle with their own primate.
