Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee attended two church services in Orlando and one in Pensacola Sunday — and made a “virtual appearance” at a fourth service, speaking via telephone, in Jacksonville. In between, he suggested that the press is placing too much emphasis on the role of evangelicals in his campaign. He pointed to the enthusiastic reception he received at a “Fair Tax” rally in Jacksonville. Hundreds of supporters flocked to the event, chanting “I like Mike” and “Huck-a-bee.”

As he shook hands, signed books and Bibles and posed for pictures, a band played such hits as “Margaritaville” and “What a Long, Strange Trip It’s Been.”

Today, Gov. Huckabee starts his day in Pensacola and is scheduled to end it with a rally in Tampa. In between, he’s travling to Tennessee to campaign in the Super Tuesday state.
